Companies from across the region set new participation record

The Luxembourg Times BusinessRuncelebrated a new participation record on Thursday, 17 September 2026. Around 8,000 participants from 436 companies took on the 4.6 km course across the Kirchberg-Plateau and through the adjacent park, once again making the event the largest corporate team participation run in the region. Smiling faces, shared finish-line moments and creative company outfits created a vibrant atmosphere at the Coque in Luxembourg.

The focus of the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun was not on chasing personal bests, but on enjoying the experience together as a team. From the very start and all along the course, live commentary and musical entertainment kept participants motivated and turned the run into a true event experience.

The largest teams once again made a strong impression. With 900 participants, BNP Paribas fielded the biggest team, followed by SPUERKEESS with 306 participants and Clearstream/Kneip with 249 participants. ArcelorMittal, Merbag, European Investment Bank Group and Deloitte also took to the course with more than 100 runners each, demonstrating the strong sense of community and teamwork within companies across the region.

Anton Wolf, Managing Director of the event organiser n plus sport GmbH, was delighted by the outstanding response: "The Luxembourg Times BusinessRun thrives on the energy of its teams. Seeing colleagues run together, cheer each other on and celebrate together afterwards is what makes this event so special. Reaching a new participation record this year is something we are especially proud of."

The most creative outfits on the course also drew a lot of attention. The teams recognized as the most original were Centre de rétention as “80s Fitness,” BNP Paribas as “Fifools,” and Paul Wagner et fils as “Skydiver.”.

The competitive race categories added an extra sporting dimension to the event. In the men's team competition, Teo Ellena, Theo Laffineur and Maxence Du Pre Werson from Deloitte claimed victory with an outstanding combined time of 0:43:39 h. The women's team title went to Anastasiia Listovska, Justine Simard-Hanley and Amandine Audierne from KPMG Luxembourg, finishing with a combined time of 0:52:44 h. In the mixed team category, Florian Richard, Maxime Gravel and Anastasiia Listovska from KPMG Luxembourg secured first place with a total time of 0:46:50 h.

As part of the "Team Handwierk – Let'z run!" category, the three fastest Handwierk- Teams were honoured in collaboration with Chambre des Métiers. First place went to Luca Volta, Hugo Gomes and Sara Tircher from GIORGETTI FRIIEND ASBL, who won the category with a combined time of 0:49:43 h and celebrated their success during the official awards ceremony on stage.

Whether running or walking, every finisher received a well-deserved medal to commemorate the shared experience, along with a refreshing Diekirch beer and an energy-boosting snack after crossing the finish line.

Following the awards ceremony, participants celebrated their successful team event at the after run party with live music from DJ KC, a wide range of catering options and a unique atmosphere that rounded off the evening perfectly.

Alongside team spirit and physical activity, supporting a good cause remained an important part of the event. Under the motto "Run like a hero",€2 per participant was donated to the Fondation Cancer, the event's official charity partner. Together with an additional donation of €1,000 from Chambre des Métiers and further contributions from numerous participating companies, a total of €34,255 was raised and presented to the Fondation Cancer during the event.
